I have also had pink hair (hot pink, when I was still young enough to call myself ‘young’), and have also turned to nature and Substack in the wake of leaving a job (albeit involuntarily, through redundancy). I hope you find it as gentle and welcoming as I have! Looking forward to reading your posts.
I was struggling with the name of my publication as well, for quite some time, but I gotta admit, when I first created my Substack I didn’t even know the publication could have a different name from my account 😅
As for your name, I think it’s pretty cool and strikes a balance between being general enough but also making an implication of what you want to write about which is probably the best of both worlds ✨
Welcome to Substack and all the best of luck for you!
I love the name (but have never had pink hair). 🙂 Also, know that you *can* change the name of you ever feel like you want to do so. Mine went through one after the first year or so. Lost zero readers. In fact, I'm not sure anyone noticed 🤪
I like 'Natural Connection' - it would peak my interest as a nature writer/reader, but it leaves the door open to other things too.
And I tried pink but it wasn't bright enough for me... so I went for turquoise instead. Happy to say those days are behind me, but it was fun for a while! Pink is classy :-)

Thank you, Gem. Very reassuring to hear! Looking forward to reading yours too.
